Hi, my name is Sophie Sage...
. . . and I am a coach. I work with women to empower them to make new choices and decisions in all areas of life. Sometimes those choices are clear, but sometimes we start off with just an inkling of “more” and have a good dig around to see what that might be. We all have the inner resources to create happier, more fulfilling and more purposeful lives; we just need to ask the right questions and feel supported. Coaching is designed to create the right conditions for you to think differently and move forwards with confidence in yourself.
So what actually is coaching?
When we think of coaching we might think of sports teams or suited execs, but personal coaching is exactly that – personal. The model I use to coach is based on the foundation that everyone is a fully-rounded person with great ideas, skills and resilience. By building confidence to use all your lovely (and abundant) inner resources, as a coach I can act as cheerleader, mentor and even devil’s advocate. Using techniques ranging from simple discussion to big, adventurous visualisations and plans, we can work towards a life that feels more fulfilling, more balanced and far better than “fine”.
Why choose me as your coach?

I'm an ardent feminist and believe that building confidence can help make the world a more just and equal place for all
Varied career spanning 25 years

Specific coaching for teachers

Specialist coaching for teachers
For several years I worked as a secondary school teacher and it was simultaneously incredibly rewarding and dispiriting! As a profession, teachers don’t always receive the support they need or deserve, in circumstances that are tough both personally and professionally. That’s why I offer discounted sessions to teachers.
Topics that are often addressed with coachees who teach are:
- finding balance under a heavy workload
- the moral obligations teachers feel to their students and profession; the strengths they show and the toll they take
- “I don’t know what else I could do but teach!”
- Ways to stay and ways to leave – and deciding which to choose
